Here we go! First clutch of the season for me but it’s one heck of a clutch. That pastel girl was bred by the Coral Glow boy I have over here from Keo Reptiles. She’s a very odd looking pastel so I can’t wait to see how these babies turn out.
In any event it’s a great way to start for sure. She gave me 7 eggs and 0 slugs which is always nice.
I still don’t have all my females up and running this year so I will only have a handful of clutches, fortunately for me I have some pretty strong males to make good stuff with even though I won’t have volume. I can see a lot of holdbacks hatching this year for sure.

Google+ and YouTube just activated “Hangouts On Air” for my account. That means that I can now broadcast a live stream (most likely from NERD) and embed it directly on my website and NERD’s website for everyone to watch Live.
So when Kevin is cutting those super exciting clutches I can now share that with everyone Live as it happens.
Deff game changer !!!
Stay tuned for more updates on a possible schedule for live broadcasts.

Just finished editing the Retic egg pulling video. Why do I put myself in these situations? :)
Andy was standing there most of the time but refused to help me because his goal in life is basically to get me bit by something other than a ball python.
In the process I’ve been able to man up and grab a gator, a puff adder, some beaded lizards and now the retic.
Gotta admit, I’m having a good time!

The excitement is killing me, I can’t help and check on all my girls every morning now before work just to see how they are progressing. I only have a handful of girls going this year but it’s all very exciting stuff (for me at least). The males that I’m using are still breeding strong and eating regularly which is great. I sometimes worry about the young males when they discover breeding and decide that food is not for them anymore. i understand that Ball Pythons can go a long time without food but when they are breeding they are using up so much more energy and so I worry about them wearing themselves out.
I’ve also heard so many stories of people that bred they’re animals to death and really don’t want to ever have to go thru that. I don’t care how badly I want to make a certain combo or reproduce a gene, their health to me is much more important.
I have one young male Hidden gene Woma that hasn’t bred anything yet but seems to be putting on the weight really fast so i might give him a shot with maybe one of the late going females. It would be nice to have some HG woma stuff available to sell since it’s a gene that never goes out of style.
Then there’s that Coral Glow male…. is he ready yet?! hmm…..
So much fun to be had!

Making progress.
This is the kind of thing I love waking up to in the morning. Watching them progress from getting bred to getting a burst in appetite and then things like this (bowl wrapping) that let us know that we are moving in the right direction.
Fingers crossed in this one in hopes to get some spider potions!
